北京時間7月12日淩晨 ，英交歐洲杯決賽將打響 ，通大退意英格蘭在倫敦溫布利球場對陣意大利 。臣劝據報道 ，大利經英國有關部門和意大利內政部的球迷前往商議 ，歐洲杯決賽將允許1000名意大利球迷入場觀賽 。麻烦對此 ，不再英國交通大臣格蘭特-沙普斯建議意大利公民不必再做任何前往倫敦觀賽的伦敦打算。
據悉 ，英交歐洲杯決賽預計將有6萬名左右的通大退意球迷到場觀戰 ，但其中不會有很多意大利人，臣劝因為目前英國要求入境人員隔離10天。大利而可進入溫布利觀看決賽的球迷前往那1000名意大利球迷 ，他們此次在英旅行已接受許可並在已遵守英意雙邊的麻烦疫情防控隔離規定後得以放行。
接受采訪時 ，不再英國交通大臣格蘭特-沙普斯解釋為何勸退意大利球迷 ：“這麽做的原因是很明確的 。一旦我們發現僅是以觀看決賽為目的的意大利人入境便會即刻遣返 ，這也是為什麽最近我們取消了眾多來自意大利的航班 。”
