而相比於用時243場打進94球的魯尼 ，凱恩打進這95個客場進球僅僅花了139場 ，效率上明顯更勝一籌 。
在賽後接受采訪時 ，凱恩也對於自己的紀錄顯得很低調 ，“我很高興能用進球來幫助球隊獲勝，這些紀錄很出彩 ，尤其是客場作戰並不容易的情況下，很開心我可以取得這項成就，但除了我的努力之，更重要的則是團隊的力量 。”
同時 ，隨著凱恩熱刺生涯重回正軌 ，也隨著其潛在買家曼城與哈蘭德越走越近 ，漸漸安下心來的凱恩留隊概率也將越來越高 ，自去年夏天開始的“凱恩去哪兒”鬧劇有望以凱恩在孔蒂治下煥發生機 、並繼續斬獲進球紀錄而告終 。
