此前，允许據《足球報》報道 ，日开2021年賽季中超聯賽將確定在廣州進行 。曝中中超揭幕戰的超开场月方案也已在製定之中 。廣州賽區的幕式名球迷入承辦工作已經開啟 ，確定酒店 、允许增補燈光等工作正在緊鑼密鼓的日开進行，比如花都體育場的曝中燈光改造工作已經開始 ，各個訓練場和比賽場的超开场月草坪開始進行維護。
《體育世界》欄目跟進表示 ，幕式名球迷入新賽季的允许中超聯賽已經確定於4月20日在廣州天河體育場開賽 。而且 ，日开開幕式暨揭幕戰將至少允許15000名球迷進場觀看 。
