北京時間2月10日 ，男足國際足聯官網更新了最新一期的排名男足國家隊FIFA排名 。在2022年卡塔爾世界杯亞洲區預選賽12強賽遭遇連敗且提前出局的国足國足 ，排名積分丟掉23.52分後最新積分為1313.81分 ，连败總排名和亞足聯排名均下滑一位 ，积分位列總第75名 ，大失亞足聯第9 。血两下滑比利時隊依然占據總榜單的榜排頭名位置 。

1月27日至2月1日是名都國際足聯在疫情期間新增加的國家隊比賽窗口，而且是男足為了亞洲區的世預賽而專門增設的 。除世預賽外 ，排名還有一些隸屬於亞足聯的国足成員國家隊踢了熱身賽 。不過經曆了換帥的连败中國國家隊 ，由於遭遇連敗 ，积分因此大失分 。大失
0-2不敵日本隊，使得國足丟了8.05分；1-3敗給越南隊又丟掉了15.47分，兩連敗不僅讓中國男足提前兩輪徹底無緣卡塔爾世界杯決賽圈 ，同時也總共損失了23.52分 ，最新積分減少至1313.81分。丟分23.52分也讓中國隊成為本次亞洲球隊中失分最多的隊伍。敘利亞隊丟分第二多 ，他們在輸給阿聯酋隊和韓國隊後失分17.32分 。
中國隊總排名和亞足聯則都下降了一位，在總榜單上列第75位 ，亞足聯排名則是第九 。亞足聯榜單上 ，占據前四的伊朗隊 、日本隊 、韓國隊和澳大利亞隊積分都有不同程度的增加 。其中A組的伊朗隊 、韓國隊漲分都在15分左右 ，且伊 、韓兩強已經提前出線 。日本隊則是此次“搶分”最多的亞足聯球隊 ，在先後戰勝中國隊和沙特阿拉伯隊後總共增加了18.29分 。
中國隊三月份將麵對的12強賽最後兩個對手沙特阿拉伯隊位列總第53名 ，排亞洲第六，本場比賽將在3月24日進行；阿曼隊排名第79名 ，在亞洲榜單上排在中國隊之後列亞洲第十 ，與阿曼隊的比賽是在3月29日踢 。
