由於主場0-2不敵同城死敵曼城 ，名记曼联没曼聯主帥索爾斯克亞的换帅帥位又岌岌可危起來 。不過據英國多家媒體的迹象季報道 ，曼聯高層目前仍然信任索爾斯克亞 ，希望索帥的索帅帥位短時間內還保得住 。
據《The 至少Athletic》的著名記者David Ornstein的消息稱 ，曼聯目前還沒有要換帥的本赛跡象 ，如果情況沒有什麽變化 ，名记曼联没索爾斯克亞還會帶隊出戰國家隊比賽日歸來後與沃特福德的换帅聯賽 。曼聯高層目前仍然信任索帥 ，迹象季但這份信任還能保持多久並不知道，希望這則消息也得到了《BBC》的索帅證實 。
而《曼城斯特晚報》則表示 ，至少索帥在曼市德比中的本赛表現隻能用“慘淡”來形容。曼聯之所以沒有立即換帥 ，名记曼联没是因為管理層並沒有做好應急的方案 。
David Ornstein的報道也在側麵印證了這個消息 ：在業內看來 ，曼聯希望索爾斯克亞能至少帶隊踢完本賽季 ，等到明年夏天再去考慮換帥的可能。以目前的情況來看 ，隻要曼聯還有希望獲得下賽季的歐冠資格 ，俱樂部是不想解雇索爾斯克亞的 。
值得一提的是 ，索帥在7月份剛剛與俱樂部完成續約 ，新合同至少持續至2024年 。此外 ，曼聯也為助理教練費蘭提供了續約合同 。也就是說 ，如果曼聯選擇在短期內解雇索爾斯克亞的團隊 ，那麽就要賠上不菲的違約金 。
