本周五，克罗克羅斯通過社交媒體宣布退出國家隊 ，斯弗“很久之前我就已經決定 ，利克會在這屆比賽之後退出國家隊 。希望這一打算我早已確定 ，继续我不會隨隊參加2022年卡塔爾世界杯 。已和”
在克羅斯退出國家隊之時，把事有德媒對克羅斯進行了采訪 。情说清談起自己退出國家隊的克罗緣由，克羅斯表示，斯弗“國家隊比賽造成的利克旅行 ，每年都會占去很多個星期的希望時間。我不希望一直通過視頻通話來和妻子和孩子相見，继续我希望能多陪陪家人 。已和此外 ，把事我也希望繼續為皇馬貢獻高水平的表現 。”
克羅斯還透露稱 ，“我已經和弗利克說清楚了一切事情 ，因為我希望他可以對球隊進行提前計劃 。我們在歐洲杯之前就一直保持聯係 ，他希望我能在歐洲杯結束後繼續為國家隊效力 。”
