對於替補登場後表現令人眼前一亮的小將穆西亞拉 ，馬特烏斯說：“他在比賽第80分鍾登場，他創造了很多威脅 ，是一位動作敏捷有靈氣的球員，正是他送出了德國隊扳平比分的關鍵傳球 ，他才是這場比賽的贏家 。勒夫現在必須意識到，他可以去依靠年輕的球員 ，而不是依靠那些已經在德國隊待了更久的球員 。”
“德國在場上有很多戰術布置沒有起到作用 ，勒夫現在必須做出正確的決定 ，不管一名球員是在隊裏待了十來年 ，還是才來球隊兩個月 ，教練必須派上最好的球員 ，才能避免再次踢出這種糟糕的比賽 。匈牙利在小組賽階段讓三個對手都陷入了困難，他們能夠昂首離開歐洲杯的舞台 。”
