中國隊11月11日和16日分別對陣阿曼與澳大利亞的马德兩場12強賽究竟在哪裏進行 ？迄今為止尚未有明確的消息 。不是兴国协中國足協或國足不願意盡早確定 ，實在是足强中足相關程序與手續依然還在批複中 。
在10月12日打完客場與沙特的赛主手准比賽後 ，國足上下於第二天乘坐包機從吉達返回上海 。场仍坦率地說 ，好两在回國那一刻 ，马德不管是兴国协國家隊還是中國足協 ，都對11月主場的足强中足兩場12強賽抱有很大的信心與期待，甚至希望能夠利用主場的赛主手准優勢在阿曼以及澳大利亞身上搶到足夠的分數 。但是场仍，隨著時間的好两流逝，中國足協遲遲沒有宣布主場的马德消息，這也讓外界對能否在境內進行12強賽越來越擔心 。兴国协
而最終的足强中足情況是 ：各方不希望發生和看見的情況正在逐步變成現實。中國足協方麵也在做兩手準備，即在繼續爭取主場比賽的同時 ，也在為不得不再次遠征西亞而進行準備 。有人感慨 ：“中國隊的‘命’真苦 ！好不容易看到了可以在主場進行比賽的希望，國內的疫情就出現了反複 ！”實際情況似乎也是如此。因為8月國內的疫情反複而導致球隊9月和10月無法在主場進行比賽；球隊結束西亞之旅回國 ，結果 ，國內再度出現疫情反複。於是 ，隊伍不得不再次西征。
據了解 ，在中國足協的預案中 ，卡塔爾的多哈、阿聯酋的沙迦等地都曾是候選 。但是 ，在最終確定前，一方麵 ，中國足協需要與對方足協 、相關部門協商 ，征得同意；另一方麵 ，中國足協也需要上報亞足聯和國際足聯 ，尋求對方的支持 。在幾方達成一致後 ，各方需要出具正式文件，然後統一匯總到亞足聯。這樣 ，中國足協和亞足聯才能最終發布正式通知 ，宣布具體的比賽地點 。所以，整個過程也是相當複雜 ，並非外界想象的那樣簡單 。
按照亞足聯的相關規定，最終的比賽地點需要在賽前10天最終對外公布 。由於中國對陣阿曼的比賽是11月11日 ，因而在11月1日前最終明確便符合亞足聯的相關規定 。所以 ，中國足協和亞足聯屆時恐怕將會有一個明確的做法 。當然 ，在最終公布前，中國足協以及中國國家隊的相關工作依然在有條不紊地進行著 。
