關於時隔多年重返大賽決賽圈的荷蘭隊，近期談論得最多的主帅一個話題就是主帥弗蘭克·德波爾的變陣 。從這位教頭以及部分荷蘭球員表現出的难看那们態度來看 ，橙衣軍團將主要采用三中衛體係，荷兰從433變陣為532已經是主帅板上釘釘。不過後者雖然曾經在7年前為荷蘭隊帶來世界杯小組賽的难看那们開門紅 ，目前在荷蘭國內的荷兰支持度最多也隻能算“毀譽參半” 。名宿範德法特曾公開表示踢5後衛的主帅比賽根本沒有轉播的價值 ，而部分荷蘭球迷更是难看那们拉起了“高空橫幅” ，想最後再勸說國家隊主帥一次。荷兰
6月12日的主帅早晨 ，一架飛機從荷蘭隊的难看那们訓練營地上空飛過 ，身後掛著一條顯眼的荷兰標語 ：“弗蘭克 ，433就行了！主帅”如此讓人目光無法挪開的难看那们舉措 ，顯然可以引起德波爾的注意 ，但要打動橙衣軍團主帥的心，讓他“回心轉意” ，這恐怕還不夠有力 。事後在被問道對此的看法時 ，德波爾半開玩笑的回應道 ：“謝謝給出好提示 ，但我們還會堅持352 。”
留意 ，這次荷蘭隊主帥說的並不是532，就此他解釋道：“你們怎麽認為我管不了 ，但我更傾向於說它是352。532聽起來有點消極 ，好像從一開始你就準備回收似的 。而如果你說352 ，那就是3個後衛。”隨後德波爾還開玩笑補充道：“當然現在我更願意說我們的陣型是1352 ，因為我們的守門員教練總是抱怨門將被忽略了。”
那麽改叫352有沒有讓球迷們也感覺好一些呢 ？可以肯定的是，無論是532還是352，隻要能讓荷蘭隊收獲到好的結果，那就算得上是一種好陣 。而如果變陣達不到理想的效果 ，小組賽首輪過後各種質疑就肯定會紛湧而至 。
