全場比賽 ，俄羅斯球員共計用了3倍於對手的23次鏟球和8次阻截艱難防守 ，但即便這樣他們還是讓丹麥轟下了16次射門 ，並最終取得了4個進球。
值得一提的是，俄羅斯在小組賽首輪與比利時的比賽時 ，也是後防球員多次失誤送禮 ，最終淨吞3球 ，而無論是與比利時還是與丹麥的比賽 ，俄羅斯在防守端的表現都難辭其咎，最終3戰吞7球的俄羅斯黯然小組墊底提前出局 ，他們也是目前歐洲杯丟球最多的球隊 。
