據悉 ，用球由於澳大利亞境內疫苗注射工作緩慢和入境嚴格要求 ，间中将安澳大利亞與國足的国队世預賽將安排在境外進行 。不過鑒於澳大利亞男足主場成績更為出色 ，比赛當地足協希望協調之後與阿曼和沙特的排境比賽安排在本地進行 。
澳大利亞國內杯賽將在9月和10月進行 ，澳足澳足協希望本國最強的协希球員能為國出戰。考慮到目前的望延外防疫政策 ，讓球員未來三個月每次9個比賽日回來在酒店隔離14天是长征不現實的 。
