7月5日 ，女足年亚亞足聯通過官方渠道宣布，两项其執委會於當日通過了亞足聯女足委員會的青少取消建議 ，決定取消原定於2022年在印度尼西亞舉行的洲杯亞足聯U17女足亞洲杯及2022年在烏茲別克斯坦舉行的亞足聯U20女足亞洲杯。亞足聯同時還宣布 ，明年分別由這兩個會員協會國承辦於2024年舉辦的承办兩項賽事下一屆比賽 。
亞足聯執行委員會坦陳 ，国举受當下國際疫情流行及由此引起的办下各類不確定因素影響 ，亞足聯在舉辦各項足球活動的女足年亚問題上必須重點考慮賽事相關人員健康與安全 ，對年輕一代球員的两项身體安危尤其重視。
為積極籌備於2022年在印度舉辦的青少取消新一屆女足亞洲杯 ，亞足聯執委會還決定，洲杯給予本屆賽事預選賽日程安排以極大的明年靈活性 。根據賽曆 ，承办本屆女足亞洲杯預選賽初定於2021年9月13日至25日舉行 。国举不過 ，考慮到疫情背景下 ，賽事各相關方麵臨的挑戰、賽事承辦東道主國家（地區）在執行防疫措施 ，特別是人員隔離措施方麵麵臨的現實問題 ，亞足聯將加強與各會員協會的溝通 ，以敲定合理的日程安排 。
5日當天，亞足聯執委會還批準了亞足聯五人製及沙灘足球委員會有關“取消2020年科威特女子五人製足球錦標賽 、 2021年亞足聯U20五人製亞洲杯”的建議 。
此外 ，原定於2021年10月13日至24日舉行的2022年亞足聯五人製亞洲杯（決賽階段由科威特承辦）預選賽延至2022年4月1日至15日 。決賽階段比賽時間也由原定的2022年2月16日至27日，延至9月25日到10月20日進行 。
