距離世預賽40強賽越來越近，國足的正式争主3位隊長也隨之確定 ，泰山隊隊長蒿俊閔榜上有名，确定另外兩名隊長人選是队长吳曦和於大寶 。
國足世預賽還剩最後4輪 ，蒿俊此前4場比賽 ，闵领國足2勝1平1負隻拿到7分 ，衔泰暫居本小組第二 。山国對於國足來說 ，国足如果要想確保獲得12強賽名額 ，正式争主接下來的确定每一場比賽都不容有失 ，必須全力爭取4連勝，队长才能在爭奪出線權中占得先機 。蒿俊
本次集訓 ，闵领國足一共召入了27名球員 ，衔泰廣州隊 、國安和泰山隊是國腳大戶 ，三隊一共有18人入選 ，其中泰山隊有5人入選 ，分別是蒿俊閔 、吳興涵、金敬道 、鄭錚和王大雷。
25日 ，國足正式確定了3名隊長人選 ，泰山隊的蒿俊閔榜上有名，另外兩人是於大寶和吳曦。蒿俊閔此前一直是國家隊常客 ，也是主力中場，曾多次在重要比賽中擔任隊長 ，在國家隊的威信很高 ，資曆和能力也沒有任何問題 ，當選隊長實至名歸 。
根據40強賽的報名規定 ，每場比賽 ，各隊都可以報一個最新的23人名單 ，所以目前集訓的27名國腳在最後一場比賽結束前都不會離開 ，他們將跟隨球隊戰鬥到最後一刻 。
泰山隊雖然有5名國腳 ，不過要想爭奪主力位置並不容易，在近日國足隊內的分組比賽中，在疑似主力一方陣容中，李鐵更多啟用了歸化球員 ，阿蘭 、艾克森 、費南多 、李可等出現在了主力陣容中 ，加上武磊的回歸 ，中前場的名額已經不多 。蒿俊閔雖然有實力 ，不過一直受到傷病困擾 ，聯賽中出場不多 ，他和吳興涵、金敬道等都要競爭上崗 。
至於後場方麵 ，鄭錚要想躋身主力也很困難 ，門將位置上顏駿淩的一門位置十分穩固 ，王大雷很難得到機會。當然 ，隨著比賽深入和對手的不同 ，李鐵肯定會對陣容進行調整 ，對於泰山隊的國腳來說 ，能做的隻有努力訓練 ，等待機會 。
