但是皮爾洛卻並不這樣認為，在賽後接受采訪時卻甩鍋給C羅的躲閃 ：“排出人牆的球員是我們自己選擇的 ，轉身躲球這種情況是以前從未發生過的 ，也許他們覺得任意球的位置離球門太遠 ，所以沒有察覺到危險。這確實是一個錯誤 ，通常不會發生這種事情。”
球隊淘汰後 ，皮爾洛沒有將原因歸咎於自己 ，反而甩鍋球員，甚至將矛盾指向了“球隊一哥”C羅 ，皮爾洛的情商有待提高 。目前尤文在歐冠再次失敗，而在意甲也難以衛冕 ，皮爾洛的下課或許會進入倒計時 。
