古裝言情劇《東宮》在情人節當天登陸優酷，糖里带渣期待已久的东宫定女“東宮女孩”們終於如願以償 。開播前後 ，开播“東宮”、跻身“東宮定檔” 、全网“東宮真香” 、热度“東宮男女主”等話題詞4次登上微博熱搜，性观其中3次進入榜單前十 。糖里带渣劇集還橫掃豆瓣 、东宫定女知乎 、开播抖音熱搜榜，跻身並躍升為百度搜索熱點首位 。全网骨朵劇集排行榜數據顯示 ，热度開播僅兩天，性观《東宮》就躋身網劇熱度前三 ，糖里带渣考慮到前兩位都是多平台聯播 ，《東宮》的後勁可想而知 。
《東宮》講述了豊朝太子李承鄞與西州九公主小楓之間的愛情故事 ，由陳星旭、彭小苒 、魏千翔主演 。劇集打出“忘川之水 ，在於忘情”的口號 ，預示了愛情悲劇的底色 。原著中 ，男主角雖然愛著女主，卻被仇恨蒙蔽 ，利用了女主角 ，甚至滅了其母族 。女主小楓飲下忘川之水，失去了記憶 。而她死後 ，男主也無奈孤獨終老 。
劇集一開頭就呈現了原著中男女主跳下“忘川”以求“忘情”的名場麵，隨後正敘進入劇情。經曆前兩集鋪陳背景和人物關係後 ，第三集中男女主正式相識 ，一路甜蜜互懟 ，感情也不斷升溫。不但有原著中橋上相親 、溪邊潑水的名場麵 ，還增加了水下渡氣、流沙救人的橋段 ，甜度爆表。
“談戀愛麽?滅你全族的那種 。”這是《東宮》裏常見的一句彈幕 。網友一邊看男女主甜蜜互懟 ，催促他們“趕緊相愛” ，一邊惦記著故事中兩人的悲劇性結局;既享受男女主瘋狂撒糖的各種名場麵 ，又期待劇情迅速開虐 。這種“甜蜜”中帶著“心酸”的觀劇感受 ，就像吃話梅 ，也像戀愛本身一樣 ，牢牢鎖定女性觀眾 ，成為推動《東宮》走紅的一大動力 。
