1月10日至15日 ，世界羽聯馬來西亞公開賽在吉隆坡進行，這是2023年首場世界羽聯巡回賽高級別賽事，冠軍積分達到12000 ，各參賽隊派出主力出戰 。中國羽毛球隊在男單和女單上各有5人參賽 ，男雙和女雙上都有4對組合參賽 ，混雙上有2對組合參賽。
男單首輪上演多場焦點戰 ，國羽遭遇勁敵 。石宇奇將在首輪對陣中國台北隊名將周天成 ，翁泓陽首輪的對手是丹麥隊好手安東森 ，00後李詩灃將對陣3號種子 、新加坡隊名將駱建佑，陸光祖將與趙俊鵬進行比拚 。對國羽男單而言 ，每一場比賽都不容易 。
國羽女單延續了去年的參賽陣容 。在上半區 ，5號種子何冰嬌首輪對陣去年進步明顯的印尼隊瑪麗斯卡，韓悅迎戰印度隊老將內瓦爾 。在下半區 ，4號種子陳雨菲首輪就將遭遇日本隊名將奧原希望，張藝曼則與隊友王祉怡進行競爭。
男雙方麵 ，在下半區的劉雨辰/歐烜屹首輪對陣英格蘭隊組合萊恩/文迪 ，梁偉鏗/王昶迎戰馬來西亞隊組合吳世飛/伊祖丁 。在上半區的另外兩對組合則遭遇強手 ，周昊東/何濟霆首輪對手是5號種子印尼隊強檔阿山/亨德拉 ，任翔宇/譚強首輪對陣8號種子馬來西亞隊王耀新/張禦宇 。
女雙方麵 ，國羽4對組合仍由頭號種子陳清晨/賈一凡領銜 ，她們首輪對陣荷蘭隊組合吉利/塞爾寧 。上賽季開始搭檔的張殊賢/鄭雨 ，經過一個賽季的努力 ，進步明顯 。作為7號種子，她們首輪將遇到硬仗 ，對手是日本隊強檔福島由紀/廣田彩花 ，後者剛剛奪得日本全國錦標賽女雙冠軍。兩對新組合首輪對手同樣實力突出 。李汶妹/劉玄炫與中國香港隊組合交手 ，杜玥/夏玉婷對陣4號種子韓國組合李紹希/申昇瓚 。女雙推出新組合，國羽希望繼續探索更多優化可能性 ，用實戰來檢驗組合 。
混雙方麵，國羽依舊是兩對王牌組合攜手出戰 ，去年奪得10個冠軍的頭號種子鄭思維/黃雅瓊首輪對陣中國台北隊組合楊博軒/胡綾芳。奧運冠軍組合 、4號種子王懿律/黃東萍首輪的對手是德國隊組合拉姆斯富斯/伊莎貝爾 。兩對中國組合都在上半區 。
