北京時間9月6日，國際足聯官方宣布，内亚由於目前幾內亞國內局勢動蕩 ，对阵原定於當地時間9月6日進行的摩洛幾內亞主場對陣摩洛哥的世預賽延期進行 。
據悉，世预赛延當地時間上周日淩晨 ，期进幾內亞某武裝團夥發動軍事政變 ，官方哥他們綁架了總統作為人質 ，内亚並宣布廢除憲法且封鎖交通一周 。对阵隨後 ，摩洛摩洛哥全隊緊急撤離 ，世预赛延目前 ，期进摩洛哥隊已經回國 。官方哥球隊中的内亚大牌球員阿什拉夫在回到祖國後也發文報平安：“感謝大家發來的消息，感謝大家的对阵關心 。這是非常緊張的一天，感謝上帝 ，我們最終平安歸國了。晚安啦 。”
