歐足聯此前宣布暫停了對皇馬 、正义巴塞羅那和尤文圖斯的切费缺席紀律調查 ，因為他們被瑞士法院告知不得製裁歐超俱樂部 。林暂對此 ，停调切費林說：“我隻想說 ，正義有時會遲到 ，但絕不會缺席。我沒有詳細說明歐足聯紀律委員會的職權範圍 ，但非常明顯的是 ，我們要和法院就解決問題交換意見 。我認為 ，現在並不是懲罰的終點 ，讓我們先搞清楚法律問題 ，然後再繼續推進調查 。我有時覺得這三家俱樂部就像小孩子逃學一樣 ，結果沒有被邀請參加生日聚會 ，卻想要和警察達成妥協。”
