對陳戌源來講 ，国足13日中國女足戰勝韓國隊 、计划拿到東京奧運會入場券的月日那場比賽 ，不是入驻結束 ，而是苏州赛区開始。
除了女足接下來的其队期入備戰之外 ，一周之後即將開打的晚星新賽季中超聯賽，以及5月底6月初的国足男足世預賽亞洲區四十強賽 ，都是计划陳戌源這位中國足協主席的分內之事。
中韓之戰的月日賽後發布會上 ，中國女足主教練賈秀全為讓大家"心跳了"而致歉 ，入驻而上半場坐在看台上的苏州赛区陳戌源 ，同樣也是其队期入"心跳大軍"中的一員。最終，晚星憑借著王霜的国足兩粒進球 ，中國女足以總比分4比3淘汰對手，在上半場0比2落後的情況下 ，完成了堪稱驚天的大逆轉 ，也讓兩隊第一回合比賽之前 、陳戌源通過私人關係請在韓國那邊的朋友幫助中國隊打點食宿訓練事宜的努力，以及客場2比1贏球的優勢，沒有失去意義 。
14日上午 ，韓國女足一行人以及包括三名日本裁判和一名泰國裁判在內的亞足聯競賽官員從上海離境，中國女足則按照防疫要求 ，繼續留在蘇州進行醫學隔離觀察 ，中國足協和蘇州賽區的賽事防疫工作基本告一段落 。某種意義上 ，中韓女足的這場奧運會預選賽 ，也是接下來的男足四十強賽的"實戰演習" ，對陳戌源和中國足協來講 ，能否成功舉辦關係重大 ，好在經過方方麵麵的努力 ，交出了一份"滿分"的答卷 。
同樣是在14日，中國女足離開太美香穀裏酒店原駐地 ，到蘇州另外一家酒店進行隔離觀察 ，賽區方麵隨即對酒店進行了全麵消殺 ，準備迎接參加中超聯賽首階段賽事的B組八支球隊。按照計劃 ，中國男足將於5月20日入駐蘇州賽區 ，其他四支參賽球隊則要晚一個星期入駐 。賽區方麵也將在中超第五輪聯賽結束之後 ，對酒店再次消殺。與女足奧運會預選一樣 ，防疫工作依然是四十強賽的重中之重 ，中國足協之前為女足比賽成立的七個工作組中，除中國足協國管部人員頂替女子部人員進入競賽組外 ，其他各組人員基本不做調整 ，而足協在女足賽事中積累的經驗 ，會直接"複製"到男足四十強賽當中 ，確保在每一個環節當中不出任何問題。
