2020歐洲杯1/8決賽 ，世界杯冠軍 、德尚的头对手本屆大賽奪標最大熱門法國意外翻船 ，法国烦120分鍾與瑞士3-3戰平後 ，号罪點球大戰4-5落敗出局 ，臣比提前打道回府 。造麻法國本來的名宿目標是殺進決賽，最終奪得冠軍 ，德尚的头对手但殘酷的法国烦事實是淘汰賽首輪即出局 ，這樣的号罪成績很難讓外界接受 。身為法國人的臣比佩蒂特 ，日前接受采訪時炮轟高盧雄雞主帥德尚 ，造麻認為他是名宿球隊出局的頭號罪臣 ，並稱他給球隊製造的德尚的头对手困難比對手太多 。
“德尚是法国烦法國出局的罪臣 ，他必須為此負責 。這些年，德尚的確在執教方麵取得了很大的進展 ，但本屆大賽的表現並不好 。法國隊的首發11人持續發生變化 ，這是自己給自己增加難度 。不誇張地說 ，他給球隊製造的難度 ，甚至比對手都要大 。”
法國名宿佩蒂特接受法媒《RMC體育》采訪時炮轟德尚 ，“歐洲杯開始前 ，人們都在討論法國的三叉戟都多麽強大 ，但好像都忘記了這是一支球隊 ，而德尚也從未正麵一些問題 。如果你不牢記團隊優先 ，那麽你就危險了 。”
本屆歐洲杯 ，法國盡管是奪標第一熱門 ，但更衣室裏發生了太多的故事 ，譬如姆巴佩與吉魯之間的衝突 ，主帥德尚並未妥善解決 ，導致這些負麵消息持續影響高盧雄雞的歐洲杯備戰工作。據悉，在法國被瑞士淘汰出局後，高盧雄雞更衣室再度發生內訌 ，法國主帥德尚顯然要被更大的鍋 。
