北京時間2月24日淩晨4時 ，取消歐冠1/8決賽首回合 ，曼联曼聯將在客場挑戰西甲球隊馬競。赴马曼聯此前和俄羅斯的德里Aeroflot航空公司簽署了長期讚助商業合同 ，曼聯在歐戰去客場參賽時通常會乘坐Aeroflot航空公司的俄罗航班 ，而這家航空公司也將自己稱為“曼聯俱樂部的斯航官方合作航空公司”。
但由於俄羅斯和烏克蘭目前日益緊張的班因包机局勢 ，原定曼聯乘坐的紧张局势在本周二下午起飛的航班被臨時取消了 。據The 取消Athletic透露 ，這次取消航班的曼联決定是Aeroflot航空公司和曼聯俱樂部共同決定的 。之後曼聯俱樂部不得不緊急尋找新的赴马飛機前往西班牙 ，最終他們乘坐英國泰坦航空公司的包機 ，在當地時間周二晚上降落在西班牙馬德裏機場 。
