本輪其他幾場爭奪中 ，廷无厄瓜多爾1-0委內瑞拉 ，忧智巴拉圭0-1智利，利乌拉圭秘魯3-0玻利維亞 ，操作賽後，南美世預賽南美區積分榜形勢有了新的区积變化：
排名第一的巴西已經提前6輪提前出線 ，如果不考慮美洲杯決賽複仇的分榜反因素的話 ，現在他們可以以絕對輕鬆的阿根心態來麵對接下來的巴阿大戰 。
阿根廷領先排名第三的廷无厄瓜多爾8分 ，領先後麵的忧智球隊至少12分 。在比賽還剩下6輪的利乌拉圭情況下 ，可以說出線無憂 ，接下來他們的主要任務可以說是好好的為世界杯磨合陣容了 。
厄瓜多爾目前排名第三 ，積20分，但是考慮到後麵有三支隊伍同積16分 ，可以說還不能掉以輕心 。
最令人驚詫的是智利隊 ，他們此前的出線形勢岌岌可危 ，但是在最近幾輪比賽中 ，他們3-0戰勝委內瑞拉 ，1-0戰勝巴拉圭 ，6分到手可以說是實現了自我救贖 。
而烏拉圭則恰恰相反 ，此前排名不錯的他們在遭遇了和哥倫比亞的平局後 ，先是1-4不敵巴西 ，然後本輪又輸給了阿根廷，3輪隻取1分 ，將自己重新送入了激烈的競爭之中。
