新京報訊（記者 周蕭）9月28日 ，乐部上周就已傳出的难题中超廣州俱樂部與主教練卡納瓦羅和平“分手”的消息得到確認 ，廣州隊當天發布公告 ，郑智宣布雙方終止合約 。基本
卡納瓦羅與廣州隊的广州更受关注緣分要追溯到2014年11月，該賽季中超收官戰後 ，队主率隊取得4連冠的帅俱生存裏皮宣布下賽季不再擔任球隊主帥 ，改任技術總監 。乐部“銀狐”的难题愛將卡納瓦羅就此來到中超 ，昔日世界杯冠軍隊長成為中超霸主青澀的郑智新主帥 。
雙方牽手的初體驗並不美好，2015年6月初，卡納瓦羅因戰績不佳“下課” ，接替他的是巴西老帥斯科拉裏 。
卡帥與廣州隊的緣分並未就此終止 。2016年 ，回歸中超的卡納瓦羅在天津天海（權健）的執教有聲有色 。2017年11月 ，廣州隊宣布與卡納瓦羅簽下5年長約——距雙方首次牽手的發布會相隔3年 。
廣州隊在昨天的公告中列舉了卡帥二次執教球隊後的戰績 ：率隊取得2018年超級杯冠軍 、2019年中超冠軍等諸多榮譽 。提拔 、使用年輕球員，幫助球隊完成陣容換代是意大利人近幾個賽季所做的主要工作 ，但陣容更迭也帶來成績起伏 ，圍繞雙方的分手傳聞屢見不鮮 。上賽季錯失中超冠軍、亞冠小組賽未能晉級後 ，廣州俱樂部與卡納瓦羅再次溝通 ，雙方最終決定履行合約 。
2021年8月11日 ，廣州隊以5比0大勝青島隊，結束中超首階段最後一輪比賽 ，以廣州賽區第二名躋身爭冠組 。當時沒人想到這會是卡納瓦羅本賽季中超的謝幕戰 。雖然在接受意大利媒體采訪時，卡納瓦羅表示解約與俱樂部的財務危機無關 ，而是為了與家人團聚 ，但廣州隊的生存狀況無疑因此更受關注 ，畢竟球隊如今仍未重新集中 。
卡納瓦羅離開後 ，老將鄭智將基本確認成為球隊的臨時主帥。但與球隊足協杯 、中超第二階段的表現相比 ，更為重要的是 ，俱樂部能否解決生存難題 。
