北京時間1月24日，據《太陽報》報道，海冠或率前上海上港冠軍主帥佩雷拉有望執掌埃弗頓 ，军主接過前大連一方主帥貝尼特斯下課後的帅接班 。
佩雷拉在上個月剛剛被土耳其的班前費內巴切俱樂部解雇，目前他是大连自由身 ，這給他的主帅战英入主增添了重要砝碼 。
盡管埃弗頓的武磊選帥名單上還包括魯尼 、鄧肯-弗格森 、前上蘭帕德等各種各樣的海冠或率候選人 ，但目前佩雷拉似乎是军主最為接近這一崗位的人 。
在周末的帅接比賽日 ，太妃糖剛剛以0-1不敵阿斯頓維拉 ，班前這使得埃弗頓球迷們加深了對於球隊降級的大连恐懼 。他們目前以19分名列英超第16 。主帅战英
