隨著2022賽季國內職業足壇“轉會冬窗”於上周關閉 ，中超深圳隊本賽季的段赛引援工作也正式結束 。在相繼引進原青島隊外援亞曆山德裏尼 、行程韓國籍外援林采民後 ，面临深足本賽季確認將啟用4人的困难外援組合 。另外兩名留隊外援分別是索或首阶事新上也阿奇姆彭 、瓦卡索 。其中 ，除瓦卡索之外的3名外援目前均已與球隊會合 ，並參加了近期深足的訓練及與廣州隊的熱身賽 。
瓦卡索的歸隊時間表原本也已確認完畢 。按照計劃 ，他應於當地時間5月6日啟程離開加納，隨後於北京時間9日飛抵杭州市 ，隨後按規定接受必要的醫學隔離觀察 。從中超聯賽籌備工作進度來看 ，賽事最快也要到5月底才能拉開帷幕。因此隻要瓦卡索如期回到中國 ，大概率不會錯過首階段中超比賽。
但瓦卡索出行前最後1次核酸檢測呈陽性 ，從而無法登機 。瓦卡索何時能啟程來華暫時無法確定 。據了解 ，因國際行程機票緊張 ，深圳俱樂部在為瓦卡索敲定新的行程問題上也麵臨了困難 。
