索斯蓋特強調 ：“現在我們已經複製了三年前所取得的成績 ，但這還不足以令球隊滿意 ，而這是一個積極的信號 。另一件非常積極的事情是，這些18歲到21歲的年輕球員們 ，正在國家隊中獲得更多積極和愉快的體驗 ，他們感覺身穿英格蘭球衣踢得很開心 ，能夠贏得比賽 ，並且和球迷們建立了良好的關係 ，這對未來一代球員來說非常重要。如果我們能保持和球迷們的關係 ，我們就能更好地發揮球員們的才華 。”
