在上周末的英超聯賽中 ，曼聯主場0-2負於同城死敵曼城 ，南德曼聯主帥索爾斯克亞的曼联帥位已經愈發不穩 ，甚至連曼聯名宿費迪南德都公開表示到了換帥的到换夺冠時候 。
索爾斯克亞在成為曼聯主帥後，帅的时候索帅盡管成績有所起伏 ，无法但一直獲得曼聯名宿們的率队力挺 。不過本周費迪南德在自己的费迪播客中表示：“現在也許是時候把接力棒交給可以帶領我們繼續提高的其他教練了 ，索爾斯克亞可以昂著頭離開 。南德”
費迪南德接著說 ：“從他執教曼聯以來，曼联在本賽季初期 ，到换夺冠一直都是帅的时候索帅積極的 。他來到這裏 ，无法做了他應該做的率队事情 ，他再次帶給曼聯球迷們希望 。费迪但他會帶領我們奪得冠軍甚至贏得歐冠嗎 ？我必須對自己誠實 ，我不這麽認為 ，不 。”
費迪南德過去曾多次表態支持索爾斯克亞 ，2019年3月歐冠八分之一決賽次回合，曼聯客場3-1戰勝巴黎聖日耳曼並逆轉晉級八強後 ，費迪南德曾在比賽直播時高喊“索爾斯克亞在掌舵” ，並力挺曼聯讓索爾斯克亞轉正 。但如今連費迪南德都承認 ，曼聯到了應該換帥的時候 。
費迪南德還指出 ：“我在曼聯的比賽方式中沒有看到任何應有的態度 ，強度不足 ，球員們跑動不夠 ，我認為這是對主帥的不尊重。任何一個贏得勝利的偉大教練 ，他們都有令人害怕的一麵，無論是瓜迪奧拉 、克洛普 、圖赫爾 、弗格森、格雷厄姆 、溫格 ，他們都有一種態度 ，那就是‘如果不按我說的去做 ，你就待在板凳上’ 。但我在這支曼聯隊內，沒有看到這種球員對主帥的害怕 。”
費迪南德最後表示：“在內心深處 ，我一直有點懷疑 ，他能否帶領我們成為冠軍 。我不確定或者不相信這一點，但我希望他能做到 。索爾斯克亞得到了很多時間，這是他打造的球隊 ，他有很多錢可以花 ，但沒有取得效果 。”
