《泰晤士報》稱，需要給出一份足夠溢價的報價才能說服格雷澤家族出售曼聯 ，最現實的報價估價是30億英鎊左右，這能夠讓格雷澤家族得到不菲的利潤 。不過 ，曼聯易主可能會令債權人選擇激活控製權變更條款——曼聯控製權改變時 ，債權人可以要求新老板償付款項。在這種情況下 ，收購曼聯的總價可能達到40億英鎊 。有消息稱 ，格雷澤家族內部對於是否出售曼聯產生了分歧 。因為曼聯在股票上市之後表現不佳 ，歐超聯賽的擱淺似乎也確定了紅魔在資本市場的成長已經達到頂峰 。不過 ，目前還不得而知是否有富豪願意收購曼聯 。
