就在13天之前 ，未赢廣州隊被張玉寧絕殺 ，国安0-1不敵北京國安 。遭广州队此番再戰 ，复仇國安仍沿用352陣形 ，御林主帥比利奇對陣容進行了小幅調整 ：鋒線上 ，军成此前連續首發出場的送分安德森被王子銘替換 ，廣州隊本場也對陣容做出調整，隊員兼教練鄭智和國腳中衛蔣光泰首發出場 ，這也成為了這場“京粵大戰”的最大看點 。
比賽開始後廣州隊占據了場麵的主動 ，而國安隊的進攻大多來自於反擊 ，在半場結束之前 ，鄧涵文禁區前連續過人後遠射打破僵局，國安0比1落後 。上半場廣州隊控球率56%-44% ，射門8-6 ，射正3-1 ，均處於領先 。下半場國安換上了新外援安德森 ，但是仍然未能破門 ，張玉寧和席爾瓦連續在禁區內獲得射門機會 ，廣州隊此後適度回收 ，國安最終沒能改寫比分 。
