【梅西上演“世紀助攻” 阿根廷大勝克羅地亞晉級決賽】

22歲的阿爾瓦雷斯當天獨中兩元表現搶眼，個人在本屆賽事已有4球入賬 ，在接到梅西的助攻破門之前 ，他不僅創造了阿根廷隊打破僵局的點球 ，還單騎闖關打入一粒進球。
此役是阿根廷隊第五次亮相世界杯半決賽，五次全部勝出。
比賽前20分鍾雙方踢得比較謹慎，都未能創造出有威脅的射門。第32分鍾 ，恩佐·費爾南德斯中場傳出過頂球 ，阿爾瓦雷斯高速插入禁區一腳挑射雖然沒進 ，但因遭遇對手犯規 ，主裁判果斷判罰點球，梅西主罰命中 。
