北京時間10月10日淩晨2時45分 ，世界杯歐洲區預選賽I組第7輪，安道英格蘭將在客場迎戰安道爾 。尔主不過賽前安道爾的场战主場卻發生了火災 ，導致替補席部分融化 ，英格幸好人工草皮沒有被點燃 。球馆
安道爾的着火主場可容納3000名球迷 ，本周五 ，幸好電視台正在球場入口處安裝轉播設備，无人但突然起火並且濃煙滾滾 。世预赛前受伤有一名工作人員舉著木板試圖上前搶救設備 ，安道他險些被倒下的尔主火球砸中 。之後消防人員抵達球場 ，场战並且將火撲滅 ，英格火災被認為是球馆由於電焊產生的火花導致的 。
值得一提的是 ，火災發生時恰好被場內進行報道的天空體育電視台拍下，天空體育的主持人羅伯-多塞特當時就在球場內 ，他表示 ：“這樣的場景和時間真的很令人擔憂 。球場的另一側非常炎熱 ，我可以看到 ，當我們離開時 ，火災已經損壞了一部分球場設施 ，不過具體情況必須由官員做出評估 ，然後才能確定在那個區域比賽是否安全和適合 。我了解到沒人因火災受傷 ，當時球場內沒有其他人 ，旁邊的住宅樓內也沒有人 。現在必須解決的隻是損失問題 ，以及對明天比賽的影響 。”
在本次火災中 ，安道爾主場的替補席被燒得部分融化，VAR顯示屏被燒毀，但幸好球場的人工草皮沒有受到影響 。安道爾足協發言人表示：“在火災中沒有人員受傷 ，隻有財物損失 。賽程將按計劃進行，對英格蘭的比賽將照常舉行。”
