西班牙電視六台記者佩德雷洛爾透露，接受阿圭羅為了與梅西聯手願意降薪 ，次角以幫助巴薩緩解財政危機 。色定這一消息還得到了記者塞爾吉奧-岡薩雷斯的阿圭確認 ：“阿圭羅非常想與梅西一起踢球 ，為了達到這個目的团聚 ，他會同意降薪 ，梅西並且接受在隊內擔任次要角色的愿降定位 。”
而記者馬特奧-莫雷托則表示，薪投阿圭羅本人的巴萨意願是加盟巴薩 ，但雙方如今還沒有達成協議 。記者尼科洛-斯基拉則透露，巴薩已經與阿圭羅開啟了談判 ，並且希望以免費的方式簽下後者 ，新主席拉波爾塔希望以簽下阿圭羅的方式 ，為說服梅西留隊再添一枚砝碼 。
雖然巴薩主帥心儀的鋒線目標是同樣合同到期的德佩 ，但記者塞爾吉奧-岡薩雷斯表示 ：“擁有最終決定權的人是拉波爾塔 ，而不是科曼 。”
