在外漂泊許久的国足国休国内國足終於迎來歸期 。盡管11月的或于兩場比賽能否在主場進行存在較大變數 ，但球隊一行已確定將在結束與沙特的整月比賽後啟程回到國內 。航班起飛日期暫定在10月13日 ，两场降落地為上海浦東國際機場 。强赛按照計劃，有望全隊將直接以"閉環"方式入駐蘇州酒店進行訓練和封閉。举办而11月與阿曼 、国足国休国内澳大利亞的或于兩場比賽如能通過主場申請的相關審批 ，國足就將在蘇州奧體迎來真正的整月主場比賽。
考慮到長期在西亞封閉集訓不利於球員的两场身心狀態 ，中國足協與國足教練組在溝通後達成共識並做出一個重要決定 ，强赛全員將在10月13日從沙特吉達啟程回到國內。有望雖然目前尚無法確定接下去的举办主場所在地 ，即11月兩場12強賽的国足国休国内舉辦地 ，但國足將在回國後一邊按照正常節奏備戰 ，一邊等待比賽地的相關審批結果。
在此情況下 ，中國足協將做好多重方案 ，力保主場優勢成為首要方案。據了解 ，有關主場競賽方案的申請即將進入實質性階段。不過一切需以防疫為重，該申請能否最終通過審批需嚴格的防疫審核 。12強賽開打前 ，國內疫情曾出現反彈且波及多個省市，當時的防疫形勢嚴峻複雜 ，因此國足主場競賽計劃的製定 、申報等事宜全部無法付諸落實 ，球隊隻得選擇多哈和沙迦分別作為主場 。
如今相比8月 ，國內疫情形勢趨於穩定，中國足協將向相關部門全力爭取主場主辦權 。如不出意外 ，蘇州奧體將是此次申請方案中的主場首選 。繼5月末承辦40強賽國足與關島的比賽後 ，這片球場有望在時隔四個月後再度迎來國足 。
