北京時間5月30日晚，武磊世預賽亞洲區A組重新開戰 ，回国中國隊7-0戰勝關島 。球队武磊本場比賽梅開二度，进步並被評為本場比賽的非常反抢最有價值球員。
賽後武磊表示 ：“非常感謝球迷的大教调地加油助威，因為疫情兩年時間沒有在有球迷進場的练强情況下比賽 ，球員非常興奮 ，武磊給我們營造了很好的回国主場氛圍，希望接下來的球队比賽給球迷帶來更多的勝利，給他們帶來更多的进步歡樂。”
這也是非常反抢李鐵執掌國家隊以來 ，武磊代表國家隊踢的大教调地首場比賽 ，談到自己的练强感受 ，李鐵表示 ：“因為疫情的武磊原因 ，1年半的時間沒有回國家隊 ，但每次集訓都會跟球隊在一起 ，會被拉進微信群，知道球隊每天在做什麽 ，我和球隊一直在一起 ，跟隊友非常熟悉，不存在陌生的地方。球隊的氛圍非常好 ，很有凝聚力 ，平時訓練和比賽節奏 ，教練一直在跟我們強調和灌輸 ，這是我印象比較深刻的地方 ，也是我們進步的地方 。”
在被問到經過長途跋涉回到國家隊 ，在調整上付出哪些努力時 ，武磊表示 ：“回到國家隊，非常興奮和激動 ，長途旅行雖然比較疲勞，但大家給我的幫助，能夠緩解我心理上的疲勞，對於我來說 ，自己還是能夠適應這種節奏 。我看到了球隊非常大的進步，李指導給我們強調的快節奏和前場的就地反搶 ，來到國家隊每個人都是中國最好的球員 ，所有的比賽都是我們通過每一天訓練去完成的 ，不是靠某一個球員去完成，大家是一個集體 。”（搜狐體育 裴力 蘇州報道）
