對於兩隊之前的想踢災難性表現，韓國媒體體育趨勢撰文進行了點評 ：
在經曆了一係列毀滅性的完亚失利後 ，中超球隊在2022年亞足聯冠軍聯賽小組賽中苦苦掙紮，韩媒他們的精神紧目標不是贏一場 ，而是崩溃趕緊結束比賽回家 。
中超本賽季隻有兩支球隊出戰亞冠聯賽，国球冠赶廣州隊和山東泰山隊 ，想踢長春亞泰宣布退賽 ，完亚上海海港則因為上海疫情原因放棄參賽 。韩媒由於經營情況不穩定 ，精神紧加之中超聯賽開賽時間遲遲不能確定 ，崩溃所以很多中超球隊一方麵在球隊經營上遇到了困難 ，另一方麵又遲遲無法確定人員架構 ，因此最終派出了主要由年輕球員組成的陣容 ，結果是災難性的 。
廣州0-5不敵柔佛新山 、0-8不敵川崎前鋒 ，山東0-7不敵大邱FC 、0-5浦和紅鑽，兩支球隊都遭受了災難性的打擊 。並且 ，連球員自己都感覺到了絕望——上海媒體《東方體育日報》報道稱 ，“廣州隊球員的精神已經崩潰 ，他們隻想回家 。“這一係列的失利已經讓球員到了精神崩潰的邊緣 ，在年輕球員造成了一種盡快完成比賽，趕緊回家的氛圍 。”
