北京時間8月29日消息 ，利亚據足球報報道 ，磨合千呼萬喚始出來 ，成问12強賽B組哥等隊伍先後公布大名單 ，题下澳大利亞遲遲未見“真容” 。多哈直至28日下午 ，集结袋鼠軍團名單才正式亮相 ，利亚27人裏的磨合26個，均是成问“海歸” 。
右後衛格蘭特是题下澳大利亞名單內唯一的澳超球員，而且還是多哈與悉尼FC達成協議的“特例” 。格蘭特將在9月和10月的集结國際比賽日之間留在西亞 ，由澳大利亞足協負責聯係當地俱樂部隨隊訓練保持狀態 ，利亚這樣格蘭特可以在10月中旬國際比賽日結束後回國結束14天隔離後 ，磨合立刻參加剛開幕的成问澳超 。
為填補本土球員留下的空缺 ，阿諾德招募了門將伊索 、赫爾城後衛埃德爾 、海法馬卡比後衛R·斯特蘭 ，這三名球員都是首次入選國家隊。而凱爾特人中場羅基奇、上海海港中場穆伊和桑德蘭後衛懷特是重返國家隊 ，阿諾德教練認為是極大利好 。
澳大利亞隊的問題在於磨合 ，新入選的球員以及重返國家隊的隊員不少，與其他隊員之間的配合默契需要時間尋找 ，部分海外球員將會參加完本輪的聯賽才會前往多哈報到 ，下周一才能在多哈集結，算上入境核酸檢測和隔離的時間，留給澳大利亞隊磨合陣型的時間並不多 。當地時間周四晚 ，他們就將與中國隊碰麵 。
