曼聯是唯一一家或許有能力支付阿根廷人工資的球隊 ，但是紅魔並不想嚐試這種耗費巨資的轉會 。而阿森納 ，他們隊中的最高薪是20萬鎊周薪的托馬斯 ，遠遠低於迪巴拉的要求 。而在熱刺 ，迪巴拉要求的周薪甚至高於凱恩 。
