談到即將到來的孙准世界杯 ，孫準浩表示 ：“雖然韓國隊卡塔爾世界杯的浩参后最終名單還沒有公布，但來到國家隊報到後 ，加世界杯机切實感受到了世界杯已近在眼前 ，梦想特別是次最在網上看到巴西隊的卡塔爾世界杯最終名單後，我非常興奮 ，孙准已經感受到了世界杯的浩参后特別之處 。現在我正在等待（公布最終名單的加世界杯机）12日 。現在給我的梦想時間隻有3天 ，在這3天的次最訓練和比賽中 ，我將全力以赴以取得主教練的信任。”
談到此前與喀麥隆的熱身賽 ，孫準浩說 ：“和喀麥隆比賽時，比賽和其他事情都挺順利 ，但我對防守上的一些失誤感到失望 ，我身體狀況感覺不錯 ，我會為世界杯上能遇到的強大對手都做好準備 。”
根據安排，保羅-本托計劃在與冰島隊熱身賽後的第二天公布韓國隊世界杯最終26人名單 ，而孫準浩可能獲得首次參加世界杯的機會 ，對此 ，孫準浩表示 ：“在結束職業生涯之前，我希望能夠參加一次世界杯。現在我已經30多歲了 ，這將會是我第一次，也可能是最後一次參加世界杯的機會了 。所以 ，這次我會盡我的全力 ，抓住去世界杯的機會。”
