《龍虎紀之忠義關雲長》講述了公元199年 ，播关曹孟德“挾天子以令諸侯” ，云长在徐州擊敗劉玄德的龙虎隊伍 ，混戰中劉、忠义斩關 、关云过关張失散。长优曹孟德欣賞關雲長的酷开才華，希望將其招降 ，播关關雲長出於對義兄劉玄德的云长結拜誓言 ，暫時投身於曹孟德帳下 ，龙虎但他降漢不降曹 ，與曹孟德約定隻要獲得了義兄劉玄德的消息就要回到其身邊 。一年後 ，關雲長終於得到了義兄的消息 ，於是帶著隨從和兩個嫂子不辭而別，由於沒有得到曹孟德的手諭 ，因此一路之上遭到了層層攔阻 。關雲長憑借一己之力，過了五個曹軍所轄關隘，立斬曹孟德六員大將。
東嶺關守將孔秀 ，洛陽城守將韓福 、孟坦 ，汜水關守將卞喜 ，滎陽守將王植 ，黃河渡口守將秦琪最終都倒在了關雲長刀下 。正所謂“馬騎赤兔行千裏 ，刀偃青龍出五關 ，忠義慨然衝宇宙 ，英雄從此震江山 。” 三國時代群星璀璨 ，關雲長是其中耀眼的一顆，“義不負心 ，忠不顧死” ，回程路迢迢 ，每一次戰鬥 ，都會激起關雲長心中的層層疑惑 ，最終他找到了答案 ，那便是他所堅守的忠義是對國家社稷黎民之忠和對君主兄長朋友之義 。同時影片對於其它人物的刻畫也入木三分 ，通過六守將一次次將生死置之度外的抉擇和曹孟德對雄心壯誌的剖白說明了每個人心中都有所堅守的忠義與信仰 。
