而熱刺俱樂部官方推特隨即批評了這種種族主義行為 ，熱刺推特發了一張桑切斯在比賽前單膝跪地抗議種族主義的照片 ，並表示 ：“我們對桑切斯今天收到的種族主義信息感到厭惡 ，並呼籲社交媒體平台對此采取行動 。我們和你站在一起 ，桑切斯 ，以及所有仍然在網上遭遇歧視的人們。”
