而年僅38歲的亿巨瑞典富豪丹尼爾-埃克是世界著名音樂流媒體平台Spotify的創始人 ，據《福布斯》雜誌估算 ，额赔目前他的偿瑞趁机身家達到41億英鎊 。丹尼爾-埃克從小就是阿森納球迷 ，他希望從克倫克的手中“拯救”自己心愛的俱樂部 ，並且在今年5月報價18億英鎊求購阿森納 ，但遭到克倫克的拒絕。
不過如今此事有了轉機 ，據《太陽報》報道 ，克倫克在美國被起訴麵臨巨額賠償。克倫克也是美國職業橄欖聯盟（NFL）洛杉磯公羊隊的老板，但近日克倫克等NFL老板因涉嫌財務欺詐和違反聯盟的搬遷規則 ，在美國聖路易斯市被起訴 。如果罪名成立，克倫克可能麵臨高達7億英鎊的賠償金 。為了準備這筆錢，克倫克有可能出售阿森納俱樂部 。
丹尼爾-埃克的一位朋友向《太陽報》透露 ：“埃克確信此事可以幫助他獲得阿森納俱樂部 。”丹尼爾-埃克有意再次報價求購阿森納 ，而且他還獲得了阿森納名宿博格坎普 、亨利 、維埃拉等人的支持和幫助 。亨利此前曾表示 ：“在克倫克的董事會中你找不到擁有阿森納DNA的人，他們無法給阿森納指明正確方向 。而埃克很長一段時間都是阿森納球迷 ，他已經開始行動 ，我支持他 ，我們希望讓阿森納重獲當年的DNA 。”
