北京時間11月3日，2021足協杯半決賽首回合的应该一場比賽在大連打響 ，上海申花1-5大比分負於上海海港。吃红賽後海港主教練萊科表示：“我們知道申花之前防線很穩定 ，莱科领袖在足協杯賽中還沒失球。应该我們估計到比賽會很困難 ，吃红我對球員的莱科领袖表現感到自豪 ，他們做得非常不錯 。应该我們占據了兩回合比賽的吃红先機 ，打出了態度和比賽質量，莱科领袖大比分獲勝也讓我們很開心 。应该但足球一切都可能發生 ，吃红我們回去要準備下回合的莱科领袖比賽。”

談到兩隊下一回合的比賽 ，萊科表示：“我們會分析這場比賽 。次回合我們還會堅持踢自己的足球 。我們對申花很尊重 ，他們在足協杯賽中充滿動力 ，我們還是會堅持自己的打法 。希望展示自己的足球 。”
談到比賽最後時刻兩隊之間發生的衝突，以及非戰鬥減員 ，萊科表示：“比賽前我們一直說 ，要尊重裁判 、尊重對手和比賽 。如果有相關人士看看錄像 ，奧斯卡一定不是紅牌。我們知道奧斯卡是什麽樣的球員 ，那不是紅牌的動作 。現在他已經被紅牌罰下了 ，我也非常遺憾 ，那不應該是紅牌的動作 。場上我們確實要尊重裁判 、對手和比賽 ，我們會一如既往和隊員交代這些 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
