北京時間8月26日 ，欧战2021-22賽季歐冠資格賽最後一場比賽 ，积分摩納哥慘遭頓涅茨克礦工絕殺 ，跌至第英大联總比分2-3無緣晉級本賽季歐冠正賽 ，媒梅而本菲卡則淘汰了埃因霍溫 。西已這使得葡超的离开歐戰積分超過了法甲 ，躋身歐洲五大聯賽 ，法甲法甲聯賽則跌至第六 。欧战英國媒體《太陽報》對此報道稱 ，积分目前可以說 ，跌至第英大联今夏轉會巴黎聖日耳曼的媒梅梅西已不在歐洲五大聯賽踢球 。
2021-22賽季的西已歐冠32強名單已經出爐 ，法甲聯賽隻有裏爾和巴黎聖日耳曼晉級歐冠正賽 ，离开而葡超則有葡萄牙體育 、法甲本菲卡和波爾圖躋身歐冠正賽 。
目前 ，歐戰積分排名第一的仍然是英超聯賽，87.926分 ，其次是西甲聯賽（80.570分） ，意甲聯賽則以63.616分位列第三 ，德甲聯賽61.427分排在第四，而葡超聯賽以44.216分排在第五 ，法甲聯賽則跌至第六 。
雖然眼下法甲聯賽的歐戰積分滑落到第六位 ，但與第五位的葡超聯賽差距並不太大 。如果本賽季巴黎聖日耳曼和裏爾在歐冠比賽中能取得不錯的成績 ，其歐戰積分有望再次回到第五位 。
