寒冰寫道 ：菲律賓spin.ph網站報道 ，度被当地上周日晚終於開始在多哈集訓的因安因菲律賓隊 ，目前僅有13名球員參與訓練 ，全原隊內最大牌的批准英冠伯明翰隊門將埃瑟裏吉要婚禮之後才能到多哈。菲律賓隊增加了剛簽約國內豪門聯城FC的菲律歸化中衛賈斯汀·巴斯 ，效力德乙球隊奧厄的宾热歸化中場施特勞斯受傷 ，但不算嚴重。身印菲律賓仍希望盡快湊齊25人名單全體球員 ，度被当地完成在多哈的因安因合練 。
不過，全原最需要中國隊高度關注的批准是，同樣選擇在多哈集訓的菲律印度隊正在聯係菲律賓 ，尋求踢熱身賽的可能性 。這個消息源自印度的liftwc.com網站 ，菲律賓媒體也進行了報道 。據悉雙方已基本完全達成協議，雖然確認比賽將完全封閉進行 ，沒有觀眾 ，賽前也會對兩隊參與人員有嚴格的核酸檢測 ，但考慮到印度目前的疫情爆發 ，以及中方還要負責敘利亞 、菲律賓和馬爾代夫往返中國的航班 ，賽區必須高度重視40強賽的防疫工作 。
