北京時間10月29日 ，深足失望申花中國足協杯第三輪第二回合比賽在大連進行 ，主帅首回合1-0小勝的进球上海申花最終守住了0-0平局 ，憑借於漢超在首回合的没想一個製勝球 ，淘汰深圳隊挺進足協杯四強 ，到表他們的现比下一個對手 ，很可能是好多同城球隊上海海港 。而被淘汰的深足失望申花深圳隊則顯得比較失落 。
賽後主教練卡洛斯表示：“我們所有的主帅數據全部都占優 ，但沒有打進一個進球 ，进球隊員非常失望 。没想當然這也很正常，到表這樣一種情況下沒有晉級 ，现比隊員非常失落，好多他們很好地執行了教練的深足失望申花計劃 。申花這場比賽幾乎沒有任何辦法 。我的隊員做得非常好 ，但對方的後防線和門將的發揮 ，讓我們無法把優勢轉化為進球 。”
有記者問卡洛斯 ：“兩回合比賽場麵表現似乎差距比較大 ，為什麽會出現這種情況 ？球隊已經進入爭冠組，對於聯賽有什麽樣的目標 ？”
對此卡洛斯表示 ：“兩個球隊都很出色 ，但每場比賽都是不一樣的 。我們第一場也是類似的比賽計劃，但我們的對手也很強大 。這也引起了我自己的注意 ，兩場比賽確實有所不同 。我們預計是占據比賽主導 ，我們控球 ，對手創造反擊機會 。我們在對方的半場控球為主 ，創造得分機會。我們牢牢控製了比賽節奏，比賽強度也很高。我沒想到我們這場比賽比申花好這麽多 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
