在交談中 ，門德斯表示會讓那不勒斯高價賣掉奧斯梅恩，為此那不勒斯必須簽下C羅 。但德佬表示如果門德斯可以讓奧斯梅恩賣出1.3億歐 ，那不勒斯就去簽下C羅 ，不過還有一個條件是C羅本賽季所有的薪水都要曼聯來支付 。
即便曼聯再願意做冤大頭也不會同意這筆交易 ，而這也正是德佬的目的 。他不想直接否認好友 ，隻能通過這樣的方式婉拒 。對於那不勒斯來說 ，這支球隊已經在打造一支著眼未來的隊伍 ，而將滿38歲的C羅顯然符合俱樂部的未來計劃 。
而對於C羅來說，這樣的結果像極了自己今天在比賽中被對方後衛輕鬆追上的場麵 。即便他昔日稱霸足壇一時 ，但時光終究會追上他 ，然後讓狼狽不堪 。或許C羅真的應該放下對歐冠的執著 ，享受職業生涯末期的美好時光了 。
