另一方麵，奧巴梅揚的周薪高達35萬英鎊 ，這對於財政拮據的巴薩來說是一個大問題。就目前的形勢來看 ，加蓬人不太可能接受降薪。英媒指出，鑒於奧巴梅揚和登貝萊的周薪都在20萬英鎊以上 ，這意味著兩家在今年年初協商交換是有意義的 。此外 ，相比於奧巴梅揚 ，巴薩簽下卡瓦尼的難度會小一些。
