雷吉隆自擺烏龍的赢球一幕出現在比賽第19分鍾 ，當時 ，全靠維拉前場左路送出傳中，内鬼雷吉隆進大禁區中路側身麵對球門完成右腳淩空解圍 ，热刺皮球踢疵後在空中劃出美妙弧線，边卫波送直掛球門遠端死角入網……門線位置上的乌龙维拉洛裏魚躍撲救 ，也未能阻止皮球入網 。世界即便是大礼頂級中鋒在此位置刻意射門 ，也很難打出這種高質量的赢球淩空世界波 。在打進烏龍球之後 ，雷吉隆非常自責 ，他懊惱的雙手捂臉跪在了草皮上 。

讓雷吉隆更加尷尬的是 ，自拔烏龍之後又送出了“烏龍助攻” 。這一幕出現在比賽第38分鍾 ，雷吉隆後場左側持球見沒有合適的出球路線 ，隨後起大腳解圍，皮球被防守球員碰到後落在溫克斯腳下 ，後者再次將皮球傳給雷吉隆 ，雷吉隆低平球傳給隊友時再次被防守球員攔截 ，沃特金斯禁區之中完成左腳破門。這粒進球幫助維拉反超了比分，也讓熱刺的防線問題被無限放大 。
根據數據統計 ，雷吉隆在本場比賽上半場打進1粒烏龍球 ，1次失誤導致丟球，5次對抗全部失敗 ，9次丟失球權 ，3次長傳全部失敗。這樣的數據單讓人瞠目結舌 。值得一提的是 ，雷吉隆在穆裏尼奧麾下時表現非常出色 ，進攻能力更是發揮的淋漓盡致 。
