由前國腳傅歡“領軍”的报青上海海港青年軍 ，將擔負起捍衛“上港”隊此前4次出戰亞冠資格賽全勝的年军完美紀錄 。
上海海港赴泰國的盼旗球員中，傅歡 、萨瓦胜胡靖航 、海港C海雷文傑和俞豪這四人有過亞冠出場的发亚經驗；其他大部分球員的一線隊經曆 ，也就是冠附去年在一線隊遠征多哈踢亞冠的時候，代表海港隊踢過一場足協杯比賽 。加赛至於主教練人選 ，报青則確定為俱樂部青訓顧問 、年军日本籍主帥金子隆之 。
此前 ，上海海港隊共踢過4次亞冠資格賽的比賽 ，不僅全勝且進10球保持完美零封 ，但這四戰都是在上海自己的主場踢得 。對於作客泰國 、麵對一支菲律賓球隊 ，這對於上海海港隊來說都是一次全新體驗 。
