費南多此前在隨國足備戰40強賽時受傷 ，郑智而老將鄭智則是回归合练去參加了B級教練員培訓。他們二人的费南回歸對廣州隊來說絕對是利好消息。
在今天的愈复賽前發布會上 ，卡納瓦羅表示最重要的广州是比賽質量 ，在輪換方麵要讓每名球員都參與其中 。
談到明天的比賽 ，卡納瓦羅表示 ：“我們明天將迎來這個階段的第三場比賽 ，我也一直和球員說 ，能夠愉悅度過這段時間的最好藥物就是勝利 。當然我們也清楚 ，勝利不是你想要就能拿到或者一直擁有的 。輪換、包括球員的健康都很重要 ，但最重要的還是比賽質量 ，這是我一直強調的 。”
而對於輪換問題卡納瓦羅也十分重視，他表示 ：“我在來到這裏後第一天的發布會就說過 ，這階段最重要的就是輪換幅度 。我告訴球員每個人都有機會 ，每個人都會踢。這樣密集的賽事 ，大家來到這裏 ，我不希望球員沒有參與到當中 ，隻是每天下樓訓練 ，然後回到房裏打遊戲 、看電影 ，去餐廳吃個飯 ，這樣沒有意義 。”
